Though we were devastated that SXSW EDU 2020 was cancelled, we are excited to share our virtual presentation of our SXSW EDU talk from C.B. Community Schools! C.B. Community Schools is a small, private high school in Philadelphia, PA, for vulnerable young people in the child welfare system. C.B. uses a healing-centered model that is woven into our competency-based academics and our culture of social and emotional learning. Empowering our students to build agency and empathy through our Plan for Peace and Justice, students gain the skills to heal, learn and grow as they find a clear path forward toward independence.
