Training program to benefit survivors of suicide | News, Sports, Jobs - Morning Journal News

LISBON– The Columbiana County Suicide Prevention Coalition has teamed up with Franklin County providing training to benefit survivors of suicide.

On Sept. 24 Columbiana County Department of Job and Family Services will host the training from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 7989 Dickey Drive in Lisbon.

Lunch is provided for those attending the training session.

Participants will learn to be part of a team of supports providing resources and information to families affected by suicide.

"They will learn about exactly what is entailed in an outreach," said Director of Treatment and Supportive Services, Lori Colian.

Colian wants participants to know there is a lot to be done as part of the Loss Team. Those who complete the training can help put together folders and provide in person outreach.

Those who wish to attend can register for the training by contacting Lori Colian at 330-424-0195 or emailing lcolian@ccmhrsb.org.
